The Clover Creek Chateau is located near the City of Blue Ridge, Georgia near the Tennessee border in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, about 90 minutes north of Atlanta via I-575. It's also very close to the City of McCayesville, Georgia and the Ocoee and Toccoa rivers. We give out the exact address and detailed driving directions once you've booked your stay.
Clover Creek Chateau generally has a two-night minimum with the exception of the following special dates:
- Martin Luther King Jr Day Weekend – 3 night minimum
- Valentine’s Day Weekend – 2 Night (Unless it is the same weekend as President’s Day, then it will be a 3 Night Minimum)
- Presidents Day Weekend – 3 night minimum
- Memorial Day Weekend – 3 night minimum
- Independence Day weekend – 4 night minimum
- Labor Day Weekend – 3 night minimum
- Thanksgiving Holidays – 4 night minimum
- Christmas Holidays – 4 night minimum
- New Years Holidays – 4 night minimum
Note: The Returning Guest discount and The Military Discount do not apply on holidays. – Memorial Day we will allow military discount.
A one night stay may be available upon last minute request. (By last minute, we are referring to the day that you want to check in) Please keep in mind the cleaning fees are the same regardless the number of nights as the same amount of cleaning is performed. Even if a guest calls the day of we still cannot guarantee a one night rental, but we will do our best to accomodate you. Cleaning fees are non-negotiable.
Check-in is at 4pm and Check-out is at 10:30am.
100% refund if canceled within 48 hours of booking being accepted, as long as booking is requested at least 14 days before check-in.
If booking is cancelled within 7 days of check-in, 50% of the booking is refunded.
And if Guest is a 'no show,' guest shall be liable for 100% of the reservation, and all monies paid shall be forfeited, no refund.
If you need to change the dates of your stay you will be charged $50 rescheduling fee. However, no rescheduling can be done within the 14 days prior to your arrival. A reservation may be rescheduled ONE time if prior to 14 days of arrival.
In order to confirm a reservation we require a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) to charge 50% of the grand total on the reservation. The second half is charged automatically to the card on file 7 days prior to arrival. Unfortunately we cannot accept checks, money orders, cash or cashiers checks.
The credit card must match the name on the reservation. The reservation/card holder must be 25 years of age or older and has to be at the property the entire duration of the stay. The reservation holder will also provide government ID, sign the Rental Agreement, and be fully responsible for the reservation and the property rented.
Clover Creek Chateau is pet-friendly, but please limit pets to no more than two dogs under 60 pounds each. Any pets must be pre-registered and a $150 fee will be assessed. We provide a pet bed and bowls for your pet's comfort, and we ask you to clean off your pet's paws with the hose by the hot tub prior to allowing your pet inside the house.
You must be 25 years or older to rent our property. The person who rents the property must be a member of the party coming and must remain the entire duration of the stay. This person must present a government issued ID, use their card to book the reservation, and will pay the balance. They will also sign the rental agreement and be legally responsible for the property they have rented. There are no exceptions to this rule whatsoever.
For all bookings, there is an 8% Fannin County excise tax charged on the total rental amount.
We charge a flat 4% guest service fee for direct bookings.
We charge a $175 cleaning fee per booking.
A unique code will be generated and sent to you via SMS on the day of check-in.
No, you will not need a specialized vehicle to reach our property. The house is towards the end of a well-maintained gravel road. It is a one-lane road, so there is a chance you will meet someone going the opposite direction on Timberlake Road, but there are convenient pull-outs every 200 yards or so, but you may have to back up to reach one. The driveway is steep, but we had a concrete ramp installed to make entering and exiting the property a snap.
There is a firepit by the creek that can be used year-round.
Absolutely no fire are permitted anywhere else on the property. This property is very close to the woods, and building a fire outside of the designated area can be very dangerous and is against the law.
Please do not fell trees on the property for firewood. There are plenty of mom-n-pop firewood dealers in the area, and even Wal-Mart sells firewood.
Due to the small size of our lot and our proximity to the woods, and the potential for injury, use of fireworks is prohibited at Clover Creek Chateau. You wouldn't want the next devestating wild fire to have your name on it, would you?
We do provide check out instructions for you in the cabin, a simple checklist for each guest to follow upon departure, but generally:
- Please place all dirty towels in laundry basket by the laundry room. No need to remove sheets from beds.
- Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the 'normal' cycle. No dirty dishes should be left in the sink.
- Please empty the refrigerator of all food, keep what you want and throw away the rest in the garbage cans.
- Make sure all trash is bagged and place it in the bear-proof garbage cans outside.
- If you used the grill, please leave uncovered for the cleaning crew to prepare for the next guest.
- Return folding creek chairs to their hooks under the stairs.
- Set the hot tub temp to 85 degrees and the mode to 'SL.'
- Check to see that patio/screen porch furniture is where you found it. Return TVs remotes to their holders.
- If you brought pets, please clean after your dog (s), including the backyard.
- Check under the beds, hanging on the back of bathroom doors and in between cushions for personal items.
- Please set Thermostat at 66 degrees in Winter (on 'heat') or 76 degrees in Summer (on 'cool')
- PLEASE fill out a review on Airbnb or VRBO ;-)
You can purchase beer and wine at the local grocery stores or convenience stores, but liquor is NOT available in Fannin County, so if you drink it, bring it with you.
Ellijay is the closest municipality that allows liquor sales. We recommend Hilltop Liquors right off of the main highway.
The Clover Creek Chateau is outfitted with a six-person hot tub as an amenity. We are very particular about the cleanliness of our property! The hot tub is regularly drained and wiped down, the filters taken out and cleaned, and new water and chemicals added to manufacturer's specs.
Being centrally located, there are tons of activities and adventures for all ages. You can simply relax in the hot tub or cool off in Clover Creek, or you can head out for action and adventure. Take a mountain train ride into Tennessee on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, do some shopping or enjoy a restaurant meal in downtown Blue Ridge or MacCaysville. The Toccoa River and surrounding creeks are famous for their pristine wild trout waters, and there are outfitters ready to show you the best honey holes. You can also float the Toccoa River or shoot the heart-pounding class-5 whitewater Ocoee River just over the Tennessee line. Zipline through the forest or enjoy the views in a helicopter tour. And if you love theater, the Blue Ridge Community Theater has you covered!
Signal strength is very poor for anyone but AT&T users, but our Starlink internet connection has the bandwidth to connect you to the outside world through the call-over-wifi feature on your smartphone.

Yes! Clover Creek Chateau has a dedicated high-voltage plug for hybrid and full-electric vehicles. You'll have to bring your own cable to fit your particular brand of car, but we have the electrons your car craves!
